Roderick David Reardon

Roderick David Reardon, 83, died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at his home at the Landings.

Mr. Reardon was born on January 6, 1924 in Columbia, PA, the son of the late Robert E. and Ethel K. Reardon. He began his formal education at Providence University where he remained until he was drafted to serve his country in the United States Army. He was wounded while stationed in France during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for his patriotism and valor. At the completion of his military tenure he returned to Temple University to complete his degree in Accounting. He then began his career, co-owning his business of Brady and Reardon Accounting Service for over 30 years. Mr. Reardon retired to Savannah and resided at the Landings. With a passion for all sports, including basketball which he played in college, he enjoyed many years as an avid golfer here in Savannah.

Mr. Reardon was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth M. Reardon. He is survived by his son, Roderick David Reardon, Jr. and wife Kathy of Lake Mary, FL; son, Daniel Reardon of Pompano Beach, FL; daughter, Michele Reardon of Savannah; daughter, Keelin Parker and husband Tim of Woodville, TX; grandchildren, Erin, Emily and Laura Reardon, Keelin Burke, Christopher Hidalgo Reardon, Meghan Hardy, Jeffrey, Devin and Carl Parker; three great grandchildren and sisters, Una Long and Rosie Brickley.

Visitation: 4:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Vigil Service at 5:00 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. Monday at St. James Catholic Church.

Burial: Catholic Cemetery.
